Brain Matters Foundation is a Nonprofit organization determined to dedicated to raise awareness about brain tumors, give support to caregivers, fundraise for research and advocate for testing in annual exams to increase early detection of brain tumors.

Our team is composed of current brain tumor survivor and patient, Amanda and George Morris (her husband/caregiver).

Research
Only a few treatments have ever been approved for the more than 100 types of brain tumors. None of these extend survival more than two years on average, or are considered to be curative. (NBTS analysis, www.braintumor.org)
By funding more research we can further the quest for more options for a CURE!
Brain Tumors Leave invisible marks too
Many side effects from primary brain tumors are life long.
Some tumors are not able to be completely removed or have a high recurrence rate.
Patients have to go through speech, occupational, & physical therapy after the many treatments: chemo, radiation, hormonal, and surgical, clinical trials
As with cancers, there is the element of the unknown when it comes to finding the exact cause of these types of tumors.
We are out to advocate for a way to get testing for early detection in exams from Providers.
